The Retreat @ no. 44 is owned by Josie DuBois & Louise Barclay. Josie, Louise & the rest of the team will be offering Hair, Beauty & Aesthetic treatments. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers over the years and look forward to meeting many more, without you we couldn’t do a job we truly love.

Josie DuBois​
​
Josie started her training in 2004 at The Isle of Wight College studying Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 & 3, then went on to complete a Diploma in Holistic Therapies. In 2007 she started her career at Jaks in Ryde & built a great name for herself as an established & confident therapist. In 2011 Josie went on to do further training in Aesthetic treatments such as Advanced Electrolysis for the removal of skin blemishes, Medical Microdermabrasion & Skin peels.
Josie opened Josie's Beauty Clinic & had 7 amazing years running her own clinic before starting up The Rereat.
Louise Barclay

Senior Stylist
Louise has over 10 years’ industry experience including a Matrix Education course. She started her career at Jaks in Ryde, a very well established leading salon. She collaborated with the Isle of Wight college to gain her Hairdressing NVQ 2 & 3 in 2009. Louise prides herself in giving clients that special touch by really getting to know her client’s hair needs and advising them what would be most suitable. Making sure her clients are comfortable and at ease is a skill which comes naturally. Louise loves a challenge and always welcomes new clients into the salon.
After starting their careers together, a lifelong friendship grew, Josie and Louise have now joined together and are incredibly excited to now be running The Retreat @ no44 in Ryde.
Courtney Lane

Aesthetic Practitioner
Courtney is a advanced aesthetic practitioner and is trained across multiple different academies across the UK to provide her clients with the best possible techniques along with extensive knowledge in physiology & facial anatomy.
Courtney focuses on natural but noticeable results always and has done ever since she was first established back in July 2023.
Courtney works every Friday and one Saturday a month.
Jenny Stokes

Hair Stylist
Jenny has nearly 20 years of hairdressing experience & is renowned for her skill in working quickly & efficiently delivering expert haircuts, colours with exceptional customer service.
​
Jenny is also a qualified assessor.
She has a extremely loyal client following and Jenny is looking forward to welcoming new customers.

Caitlin Fyffe

Hair Stylist
Caitlin is our latest member of the team, she is 24 years old and is qualified in level 2 hairdressing. She has been working her magic on all her clients for 4 years now and is absolutely loving showing off her skills here at The Retreat.
She specialise in blonde work however she loves all types of colouring and offers hair extensions.

Caitlin works on Thursdays, Fridays and every other Saturday.
Alina Kalinichenko
Hair Stylist
Alina is 25 years old and originally from Ukraine, her hairdressing career has given her opportunities to study and work in Europe. She has over 8 years of experience in hairdressing as well as a degree in this field. Alina has won multiple national and international competitions and awards.
Alina is a highly skilled professional who has an individual approach for every person.

Alina is with us every Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays.

Katie Jude
Beautician

We would like to welcome the lovely Katie to our team. Katie is level 2 qualified and is currently in college doing her level 3.
Katie is now with us every Tuesday offering waxing, tinting, gel manicures & pedicures, and facials.

Kelly
Reflexologist and Holistic Therapist.
​
Kelly founded Lauren Blue Reflexology and Holistic Therapies in 2022 after training with Dr. Jackie James in Southampton. She offers a range of treatments, including Reflexology (foot, hand, and facial), Indian Head Massage, Massage, and Holistic Facials. Kelly is with us on Mondays & Saturdays.
